Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Disability Snowsport UK training weeks

Disability Snowsport UK - formally Uphill Ski Club. Has anyone been on one of their week long alpine training camps? I know someone that is very interested to go with the view of training to be a helper, but rather than keep pestering their office with questions, it might be more helpful to speak with someone that has actually been before?

Thanks for any help.

Ray, the only link I can think of would be choodalls (Dave Chuggs) - he is a sit-in skier, I believe he'll be tied up with the Paraolympics at the moment.

If someone does come forward it would be nice if they'd post here - I suspect it's one of those things that a number of people might be interested in and the more they know about the process the more likely they are to 'step forward'.

If your friend can make it try Snowdome Tamworth on the 2nd Thursday in each odd month - next one Thursday 11th May, 2pm. This is a disability session, now Disability Snowsport UK, there will be skiers with various disabilities, plus helpers with various levels of training, they can offer a chance of some experience, and there should be people who have been on / helped run the courses. The office should be able to give contact details to ask about for this session.

There are also a number of weekend training courses organised in the UK this year, including Snowdome, Snowzone and Gloucester, these offer a different way to get some basic training.
