@Langerzug, Quite sad to see all that woodland chopped back, I love that Zug bottom station area
Yep, very picturesque, while trying to maintain the speed on the glideout after thumping down the last slope. Pity there isn't a cute little cafe there. Once trekked into Zug for a coffee, but usually clock watching on the run over to Warth.

Looking at the images not sure how many of the trees have been cut down, certainly some of them directly adjacent to the lift station but perhaps not any others? The images show the new buildings not the surrounding area. Given the sensitivity over cutting down trees it would be surprising if any more than the bare minimum have gone.

@Langerzug, Rebuilt buildings then. The shots are taken with most of the (or what were) existing tress behind, so it is not possible to see exactly how many trees have been cut down. Building sites never look scenic and these are no exception, probably best to wait until the rebuild is finished before getting to exercised by it all. I do agree though it would be a shame if the area around the lift station looses too much of its character. I guess the new lift station will mean that some of the "old world charm" will inevitably be lost.
