I hang weights off mine precisely for this reason. No one wants to look like some kind of ski-mo gimp

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Good idea, it saves ironing your salopettes before first week of the season to get nice sharp creases down the front.

While I have experienced some issues with the elastic in the braces stretching while hung up over the summer I find the shrinkage that occures in the waste band to be more of an issue.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I've always just hung my salopettes up in the cloakroom on a peg at the send of the season but apparently this causes the elastic in the braces and elsewhere to stretch and you end up looking like a snowboarder. |
Well, I am a snowboarder, so I have to buy my salopettes a year before I need them and store them as you suggest until the elastic stretches and they become suitable for snowboarding.
It's a real faff to make myself look like a snowboarder which is what I am in the first place.
If only they sold them ready done for snowboarders.

In the off season I just use mine for ferret storage. And during the winter I use them for snowboarding And ferret storage, which certainly helps correct your stance.

@Richard_Sideways, how do you cope with ferret faeces?

|
@johnE, they just enhance the general snowboard aroma!

I've seen a recommendation to remove the Goretex layer in the summer and store that separately, preferably in a cool, dark environment.

For the appropriate depth of grungy aroma, screw them up unwashed in the bottom of your board bag over the summer

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

I'd have thought the ferrets would get too hot in them in the summer?

Their constant playful fornication allows for the circulation of fresh air. Faeces and urine are collected in the side pockets, Dune style.

You know it makes sense.

I think ferrets have quite cute faces .....
oh, sorry, mis-read it.
