I went to Cervinia 7 years ago and, even then, found it pretty expensive for supermarket stuff, eating out and accomodation. Even simple pizzas quite pricey. Certainly more expensive than other Italian resorts I've been to. Perhaps it's a knock on effect from Zermatt over the border...

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

If you don’t mind standing outside, the pizza slice place between the church and the steps up to the gondola is pretty good. There’s a locals bar up the street opposite (I think) the hotel Europe. It’s called Au Planet and was reasonable. The longer you stay the bigger the dish of nibbles gets.

There's also a pizza place half way up Via Carrell, which does massive pizzas for €25. They are probably 60 cm diameter and would serve 3-4 people.
In general, I thought most restaurants in Cervinia were reasonably priced, compared with, say, 3V in France. And about half the price in Zermatt. The only one that made my eyes water was Wood, a Swedish restaurant, though it does serve amazing food.

@chrisdavis Monte e mare was closed today when we decided to get pizza - typical! Does look good value for money though. @dw832 we drove to Valtournenche- it was essentially shut

Plenty of snacks come out if you're buying drinks at the Yeti or Ymeltrob. Yeti normally have a happy hour early evening.
La Grotte is a reasonable value restaurant - facing the Cretaz chairlift
Pizza place by the church already noted
On the mountain, try Pousset for lunch. Reasonable value. Avoid Zermatt!
