Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ski Safari 2020 - on piste

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi

I am an experienced skier and would like to complete a 5-6 day ski safari in early 2020. I have been looking at Dolomiti Superski but would be interested in other parts of Europe. Does anyone have any recommendations, tips etc. Perhaps other SnowHeads have previously undertaken a safari in the Dolomites or elsewhere?

All feedback would be greatly appreciated

Many thanks

David

Have a look at http://chalet-la-bas.com/snow/4590155381 Steve Nash who runs the place can take you to Espace Killy, St Foy, La Rosiere, La Plagne/Les Arcs and even the 3 Valleys in the space of a week. Great host with his wife Connie too.

If Austria is more your thing then have a look at Ski Amade. Snowspace Flachau, Schladming, Hochkonig, Gastein and more. 760km of piste to explore. Have a look on our Facebook Page @theredandwhiteskicompany for more ideas.

You've probably seen this post I did on Colletts Ski Safari last year...

We are planning another one for next year to cover more of the Dolomiti - fourth time there and certainly not exhausted it.

This winter we were in Ski Amade based in Schadming - and went to Flachau from there - deffo potential a route there as panaga52 says above - might need some taxi links

@Dof, will you have use of a car and would you stay in more than one place? If so, the area where Italy, Austria and Slovenia join is fantastic. You really get the feel of travelling as each country's resorts feel so different. Tarvisio, Sella Nevea/Kanin, Gerlitzen and Kranjska Gora are all close to each other and worth visiting.

.... As well as the Milky Way, (Italian resorts of Sestriere, Sauze d'oulx, Sansicario) and Bardonnecchia.

If you buy a week ski pass in Montgenevre, you get one free day in each of the following resorts: the Milky Way, Bardonnecchia, Serre Chevalier, Puy St Vincent, Alpe D'Huez, Deux Ales.
Not bad for about €220.

The is also he wonderful world that is La Grave, nearby, if the conditions are right, a day not to be missed.

You would need a car.

I should have put “or” after “Maurienne” because basing yourself in Briancon for the Maurienne would be silly...

@volfy, indeed. Lots of stuff to do around there
