Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I am on a cheap contract and don't have swiss coverage (or at least the fees are big) what is the best sim for visiting , I am am off in a week , I probably don't need much data as we will have wifi in the place we are renting.
Last year I planned on using my own card and paying the charges but it appeared to block them.

@T Bar, Are you absolutely sure you can’t use your current phone/package in Switzerland? It’s a ‘Roam Free’ destination, so there shouldn’t be any additional charges. I suggest you check again. Who are you with?

A sim on the '3' UK network would work, Switzerland is one of the many countries where you can use your phone as if you were in the UK. If you get a pay as you go I think you have to activate in the UK first tho

@foxtrotzulu,
I think roam free is a proprietary product that adds a few destinations to the EU/EEA agreement of which Switzerland is not a part. I am with id Mobile which is fine in the EU but you have to pay outside
@alasdair.graham@hotmail.c,
Thanks I've looked at 3 now, before I want clear about their PAYG products but it looks good.

Lebara CH works well for me and seems to be cheap for data. I bought the SIM from a mobile phone shop on the upper concourse at Basel station.

@T Bar, I use three and the rate in Switzerland is the ame as in the UK. I have had no problems with it but I've only used it at Geneva airport and Lausane.
