Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Taking skis in cardboard box on BA

 Poster: A snowHead

Anyone know if it’s okay to take skiis in a cardboard box of suitable size on BA? All my ski bags are currently in France and plan to use the box in which they were delivered from an online purchase.

Or chat/call BA. As long as its robust and meets their baggage dimension and weight criteria, I doubt it would be a problem.

@Ozboy, I can see no reason why, as long as it meets the stated dimensions, it shouldn't be accepted. I would be inclined to wrap a load of duct tape round the box, both for protection and to assure BA that the box is likely to survive the baggage handlers.

Ok so long as it doesn’t downpour with rain when they’re sat on the runway and your cardboard turns to mush? wink

Thanks all - will add some duct tape to the packing tape and no rain forecast tomorrow Smile

I'd be tempted to look for a cardboard tube big/long enough. double packaging.

I did this with BA and it was fine. I made a string handle to make it easier to carry.
