Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

So, just managed to end my ski season on the edge of an innocuous blue run up the road here
Take home message- don't lose your ski and land on your shoulder when you’re 60, it doesn’t always end well...
I now have the elegant French version of a “collar and cuff” sling and a slightly displaced fracture of the surgical neck of my right humerus. Another slightly displaced chip makes it a NEER3 injury in the jargon.
I’m due a CT on Tuesday in Annemasse (we live here much of the time) and hopefully no further intervention required save physio, but, just in case, I’d be grateful for any local advice/knowledge re the relative merits of any local hospitals or orthopaedic specialists.
Thanks.

Sorry to hear, the only advise I can give is be careful, I split the ball at top of mine into 4 parts at half term & the hospital in Sallanches were talking about prosthetic replacement! Luckily I have a trauma surgeon friend and he advised to get home, I now have a nice plate & o screws holding it together but at least it's mine.
I really do feel for you as it can be a life changing injury, I will for sure be thinking twice about doing a nothing jump of the side of a blue in future.
Good luck & take as much morphine as they are will to give
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Steve Brenn is the Lausanne based shoulder specialist who operated on mine successfully. My Physio said he’s the best around and only does shoulders

I did an AC joint separation skiing a few years back. Can’t help much except to reinforce the benefits of physio in shoulder injuries.
