Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Mayrhofen - 13 April

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
We are visiting Mayrhofen for a week arriving 13th April.

Any tips of advice for the area?

I am looking at booking my youngest lessons with ski school Mayrhofen SMT. Anybody used them? Also using their lunch club between the morning and afternoon lessons.

Thanks all.

Edit to add: we are self catering so suggestions on good places to buy food especially fresh fruit and veg?

Have used SMT for my kids for the last 5 years (with lunch option) and they loved it and I haven't found anything to complain about.
In fact my youngest will be with them the week prior to yours.

Can't really comment on the supermarkets - Billa is possibly the cheapest but not by much.
All seem to have good supplies but I guess it will depend what time of day you shop.

If you have a car there are a couple of larger supermarkets further down the valley.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@Hamish, fantastic. Thanks for the feedback. Yes we will be hiring a car, as have flights to Salzburg.

for the supermarkets its all down to where you are staying and if you have a car.

if you have a car drive back up the valley towards zell...on the right there is a Hofer (Aldi)

if you do not have a car, you have 3 options:

Staying at the railway station end of town then your closest is Billa
Staying in the middle of town then the Spar (opp the strass hotel) is the easiest
Staying down by the power station then there is a large Mpreis which is the biggest of the lot
