Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Oregon Scientific 2-way radios

Poster: A snowHead
Just recently bought a couple of Oregon TP-329 radios, and am confused. The instructions say that they need to be charged for 14 to 16 hours for the first charge and then 8 hours after that, however when I put the batteries in to charge them up they appear to be fully charged.
Does anyone out there have these and did they find the same thing? Do I put them on charge just now and run the risk of overcharging them or do I leave them on for a couple of days to run the batteries down first?
Bit miffed that the chargers don't shut off automatically.

i've got these and accidentally left them charging for over a day before with no apparent ill effects

used them regularly for full day on slopes and usually charge each evening - seem to work well........

i'll listen out for you!!!!

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

DAVID F,

I'd run them down and then full charge them.

They should easily last all day switched on in cold conditions but to be sure a top up charge per night is best
