Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Fill your boots!

I was preparing my snowboarding equipment today, and collected my boots from the garage (where the boot bag was still open to let them air from last season).

I soon discovered that some kind mice had filled both of them to the brim with dog kibble, and a little garnish of chewed inner-lace strands.

That was a mouse larder that would have lasted years, if only some pesky man hadn't scuppered their best laid plans.

I suppose the mice were at least helpful in collecting all the spilt kibble that would otherwise have become squashed underfoot. Perhaps the kibble helped keep my boots dry too? Even so, I still needed to stick a vacuum cleaner in them to suck out all the kibble dust.

So, new laces I have to buy tomorrow. Confused

Yes, I need a cat, but the missus says our dogs will eat it... Sad

Cats have way too many sharp corners for dogs to eat them!

Hmmm. Coypu are even fiercer and more deadly to dogs than cats are, and our dogs could handle (and have handled) both.

However, I'm of the opinion that dogs can be trained to treat a new cat as a member of the family. That ain't cutting it, even so.

The alternative is a small terrier of some sort.

Then again, I think at the end of this season I will put my snowboard boots out of reach, and in a thick plastic box.
