Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Reusing lift pass from one French resort in another

 Poster: A snowHead

Hi, just looking at ordering my lift passes in advance for our trip to La Plagne and realised I'd accidently selected that I would like to reload an existing card.

What I'm not sure about is if I can use.....or more to the point trust, a lift pass from other places we have been such as Flaine or Tignes using the card number.
I have reused like this in the past but that was done at the lift office.

Do all if the French resorts use the same system so that all cards are reusable anywhere in the country?

Thanks,

I'd be surprised if that was the case.... good question though

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I did some research last year re pass compatibility, and as long as different resorts use the same lift-pass system they can be recharged to use in the different ski area.
Unfortunately the pass system for La Plagne & Tignes weren't compatible, so afraid not in your case Sad
<Edit> just found the thread where this was discussed last year https://snowheads.com/ski-forum/viewtopic.php?p=3178967

I obviously searched for the wrong subject before posting, thanks for the link.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

If the system accepts your code from your existing card it should be compatible. I've regularly used an old Serre Chevalier pass (which is a Keycard) to buy single days elsewhere online. But it has to be a resort that also uses that system.

You'll need to Register first of course.

La Plagne uses Axess. So if your old cards are axess cards, you're good to go. The cards usually have "axess" printed somewhere on them. Works for Lillehammer, to demonstrate the principle.
