Poster: A snowHead
|
Hi all, sorry if this had been asked before. Did try a search initially.
I’m looking for recommendations/help/advice. I am after a chalet for a large group (4-6 families, so 16-24 people) April 2020. I want somewhere high and great for kids ski school. Drivable from UK would be good. Thinking Avoriaz, Les Arcs/La Plange. I know Flaine very well too so that’s another option but the big chalets are out of town, I think.
Could you suggest any providers/websites or am I better off using Air bnb or something similar??
Thanks

www.chaletfinder.co.uk I've not actually booked anything through them but used them for searches when I was looking for a similar number a couple of seasons back. Good luck in sorting a big trip out!

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Another recommendation for ice&fire...... We are with them now, just two of us with the entire chalet to ourselves. The staff are great, the chalet even better, the facilities spot on, and the food is first class. Reckon I've put on half a stone in two days!

We've got a chalet booked in Alp D'Huez for Easter, sleeps 16 through ski france:

So far they've really helpful, answering any questions we might have etc...so hopefully should all work out. Fingers crossed for a cold Alps Easter

I've just remembered that Peak Retreats have a section for groups https://www.peakretreats.co.uk/winter/holiday-types/accommodation/large-ski-accommodation but all this will be self catering.
The actual group deal I booked half term 2 years ago was a catered chalet for 22 (think we had a couple of spare beds) via Sunweb but it was quite basic and can't see it this year - Auhof in Flachau - but then it was only £550ish catered inc lift passes plus travel for HT and we had a variable budgets among the group so it ticked those boxes and we had a good week! Might be worth giving Sunweb a ring.
