Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Chamonix accommodation

I'm planning a trip to Chamonix and am looking at accommodation through airbnb. To help me decide on location could anyone give me an idea as to distances. I.E. if I were to get an apartment next to Aiguille du Midi lift how long would it take to walk to Brevant or is it a case of getting a bus?

@esaw1, bit of a tricky question for me to answer as the Sis in Law has apartments next to the Aiguille and we have apartments next to the Brevent.

I’m very used to carrying skis and I’d think it was about a 10 minute walk. Wouldn’t faze me. But I would go near Brevent. Cos’ I’m lazy.

Aiguille du Midi yes if you stay near there all your lining yourself up for as in easy walk is the Vallee Blanche , nearer the brevent
would be better and nearer to the bus route to other areas
Cham are very good with there bus routes and pick up points

Close to the Midi does mean close to the Chx Sud bus stop though, and all the buses going everywhere hub through there.
