Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Fiss: a few questions

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
We're heading out to Fiss the first week of March. We're driving from Munich, probably along the Fernpass route.

A few practical questions come to mind.

- How's the shopping for food in Fiss? I know there is an M-Preis, but how well is it stocked? We have an apartment and are planning on cooking dinner at least three or four nights during the week + breakfast every day. I'm wondering if it would be wise to stock up on some staples en route, e.g. in Zams.
- Since we're cooking dinner, we're probably going to emphasise lunch a bit more. What are the best lunch places and would we need reservations?
- How loud are the church bells in the wee hours?
- Where will we find the best-groomed pistes?
- Can you see the Nightflow show without buying tickets to the night skiing?
- Any other tips? Any must-do activities?

Absolutely fine - well stocked typical austrian supermarket, only bought a sticking plaster (and beer obs) but it was the best i have ever used.

Frommes Alp on the long run down from the east side - deer farm, did good venison, the rest were generally run by the lift company and sorry to say a bit disappointing - mainly because they became generic. no reservations required

Thank you for the advice. Mind you, we have stayed in Serfaus earlier, so the dorfbahn is familiar to us. Because our kids were so young at the time, we were very limited in the choice of skiing and lunch places, which is why I'm checking here.

Any info on the best available wiener schnitzel?
