Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Le Bettaix / Les Menuires - bars??

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi - does anyone know if there are any bars / restaurants down in Le Bettaix (Three Velleys)
I know there used to be one a few years ago but was told it had closed (??)
Or - alternative looking for the last bar / stop to have a beer before heading back down to Le Bettaix.
Any suggestions welcome?
And I think I am right in saying we can get back there directly from Folie Douche without any lifts??
Cheers wink

Hi, As far as I know the last bar in Le Bettax closed about 4 years ago and was converted into apartments. You can get back from VT to the bottom of la Masse without lifts but to get to Le Bettax you would need to get a lift up to La Croisette unless you take the cross country track which would involve a fair bit of using poles and the snow cover needs to be good. Alternatively if you arrive after the lifts close a bus just above La Masse station would take you up to La Croisette where you can drink in the many bars before skiing back to Le Bettax.

Would recommend skilt bar in croissant area, British run with lots of screens showing sports if you want it, good food at reasonable costs. easy to get to close to the main lifts, then ski straight from there to bettaix area.
