Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

WTR binding compatibility (Atomic Hawx Ultra XTD)

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I need a bit of help with the Atomic Ultra XTD 120 boots I recently bought, in particuar with binding compatibility. I currently have 2 sets of skis (both of which are used extensively often on the same holiday). Compatibility with various bindings seems confusing to say the least!

Stokli Laser SX fitted with the standard Salomon N SP12 Ti bindings
Volkl V Werks Katana with Marker Tour F12 bindings

I want to work out first of all if the boots are compatible with any of the bindings, and if not what is the best option to resolve. I am pretty sure the boot sole is not compatible with the Salomon SP12 binding but it looks like it might be with the Marker F12, so maybe new bindings (maybe quiver killed so I only need 1 new binding)? Or accept that I need 2 sets of boots? Somewhat urgent as I am flying out to Switzerland on Thursday afternoon next week for a weekend skiing….

Can anyone help?

@zikomo, contact Spyderjon at the Piste Office. He'll know the answer and will be able to advise you on your options.

Great boots, but with the industry decision to standardise around Gripwalk, the wtr soles are a pain.

Salomon SP12 no, Marker F12 yes. Numerous problems with this particular boot, especially size 27/28, fitting in a Marker ID Squire/Griffon/Jester, though.

The Atomic Hawx Ultra XTD and Atomic Hawx Ultra are the same internal shape. I have a pair of XTDs to use with my touring skis, and a pair of Hawx Ultras to use with my piste skis. If you don’t want to swap bindings, that might be the simplest solution for you. You could take the inners straight out of your XTDs and put them in your Ultras.
