Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Help with rossignol skis please

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
On my recent trip I demo'd some skis. I loved them and took a photo to remember the model. However, I've lost my phone.
I'm very Confused with the many varients of the rossignol hero ski.

They where 186 long I think and I'm pretty sure the radius was 18 meters. Are all hero skis pretty much the same?

Sorry can't give you specific help but here is a link to their 2018-19 winter catalogue showing all their skis, you may be able to recognise them from here.

Thanks. From what I can find they where 2017/18 range. I found the catalogue but they all look the same. Red and white. The guy even put special stickers on the tips as he said people accidentally swap there skis by accident as they all look similar

If they were Hero skis with a ~18m radius and 186 long then I'd guess they were Hero Elite LT. At 176 length they have a 19m radius/at 183 a 20m radius.

Main visual difference between ST/AT/LT is the colour of those letters on the backs of the skis. Blue for LT, blue and green for AT, green for ST.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Here are previous years catalogues. After a brief look the only 186 length I can see is the 15/16 Elite LT but that has a turn radius of 21m in the 186 and 18m in the 174

Cheers guys. They where definitely 180± because I asked for 190's and he said the 186 was the biggest he had. I most likely got the radius wrong. The word elite definitely sound familiar.

Thanks again for the help

I'd be pretty confident that Rossi is applying the Hero name as a halo to all manner of rental fodder and Special make ups.

Why not ring the shop and ask?

It was the shop attached to the alpina eclectic hotel. The chap was very friendly but translation made it difficult to tell him what and why I wanted to try some different ski's. I'm actually returning in March so I'll pop in and have a word

@dave_3, somewhat amazed they didn’t speak English...

You mean Ravanel on Place Mont Blanc? Happy to wander in next time I go past and have a look.

I'm not sure to the name as it looked liked it was part of the hotel alpina itself. If your passing I would be very grateful but the skis are not very accessible as the have them in some weird sliding cabinets.
