 Poster: A snowHead

Time for a new helmet and as a wearer of glass, like the idea of an integrated visor. Thoughts/experience of these versus goggles?

Visor every time. Photochromic lense then you don’t have to choose or faff about changing lense when conditions change.

If you like goggles then no need for visor. If you don't then visor's fine unless you are insecure about looking a bit different.

Visor it is then. And you won't find me off piste, so powder not a problem!
Thanks all

Useless in wind-driven snow / spindrift.

Just bought some visor helmets from Cebe and Salomon for our 4 and 7yo kids to use at half term. Main reason was that they seem to dislike wearing goggles and most of the time they are either on to top of the helmet or dangling behind, and not of their face. Also no need to waste precious time in the morning looking for goggles and can instead focus on finding their glove!

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Another vote for visor.
I like skiing in sunglasses when conditions allow. With a visor I can just push the visor up and put my glasses on - better than finding somewhere for the goggles to go. If I change my mind half way down a run I can flick the visor down without stopping if I want to, then put my glasses away on the next lift. I have a light coloured lens, because I only use it in poor conditions.

Bought visor helmet at Xmas as I couldn't get on with goggles and glasses. Loved it but I do like sunglasses for Easter skiing
