Been posted before... Its fake, it was an advert in Europe... Think it was for ski hire or something. The skier in the video is Didier couche, very famous for his ski flip trip in the finish area of a race

I have very few sporting heroes but he is definitely one. The ski world was a poorer place when he retired

I've told this one before....but this is the right place to tell it again:
A ski instructor friend of mine is called Lisa and she is a Brit who works in Switzerland.
As part of her BASI to Swiss qualification transfer she had to do the Swiss Speed Test. It is a GS, similar to Eurotest but not quite so demanding.
She turned up at registration on Test day and was warmly greeted
"Ah so you are the English girl...welcome" etc
The man in front of her (wearing helmet and goggles) engaged her in conversation. They rode the chairlift together up to the start.
He saw she was nervous and kept chatting, in turn she asked him if he was nervous too?
"Not so much" was his reply
She then said
"I notice you are wearing Slalom skis, you do know this is a GS test? If you don't do well this time you might do better on GS skis next time"
"I think it will be OK" he said, but thanked her for her concern
In the wait area they continued to chat, he was charming and a calming influence she said.
He went two in front of her...and absolutely FLEW down the course!!
She was amazed...and said so to the others waiting.
"But don't you know who that was?" came the reply...
(You've guessed it of course)
"Didier Cuche!"
He passed...

She must curl up with embarassment every time she thinks of the kindly advice she gave him...

@pam w, far from it...she can laugh at the absurdity of it.
Goggles, helmet....would we all recognise him?
