Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Heliskiing in Cervinia

Anyone done it?

Any recommended routes or companies to use?

Equally off piste guides and favourite areas of opportunity?

We've been riding off piste in the area for many years but wondering what more a knowledgeable local could show us.

We're all snowboarders but not afraid to hike where necessary and competent enough to cope with the odd flat section.

I think this might be the only one:

I have never used them as I am based on the other (i.e. Swiss) side. I have done touring and off piste on the Italian side. It is hard to come up with enough superlatives to describe it.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@Adam123, to be honest, (I have heli'ed there, and Canada) a good guide will get you fun pitches without the expense of a helo. And will know when to recommend a helo if appropriate.

We used a Cham based guide mate and whoever the local helo company was. So I am not much help.

our chum tends to use these guys more often now, iirc, https://www.heliski-valgrisenche.com/en/

Thanks chaps. Sounds like good advice. We've been enjoying the boundless opportunities here for a number of years. Having had a great guided experience in Monterosa I'm really keen to see if there's more we can have out of our favourite stomping ground

Heli skied with my guide from Ste Foy with heliskicervina , two drops on the mountains opposite the Cervina lift system both good routes can’t remember the names of the mountains . Last season did two drops in Zermatt on with Zermatt air onto the Monte Rosa and another with Heliskicervina picked up at Plan Maison and dropped round the back of the Matterhorn with a great run back down to Zermatt , wow would sum it up .
Was surprised that the heli rates in Switzerland are cheaper than Italy .

I would recommend a trip to Valgrisanche

I use www.tarentaisetours.com for all my trips , they have close retaliationships with Heliski cervina and the operations that cover Petit St Bernard , Valgrisanche and Courmayuer .
