Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

@ajc2260626, at the moment complicated, as a few of the train lines are closed. Normally you would S-bahn from the airport to München Ostbahnhof or Hauptbahnhof, then change at either Salzburg or Bischofshofen. I think Maishofen is the nearest station to Saalbach from where you would get a bus or taxi.

Golling-Abtenau to Bischofshofen is currently closed and reliant on a replacement bus and there are no trains beyond Saalfelden. Both due to avalanches and further avalanche risk.

@ajc2260626, I use the train to and from Salzburg daily. At the moment they are hoping to have the network back to normal by Thursday, so barring any more extraordinary snow events, you should be fine.

Relatively easy. Train from Munich Airport to Munich. Then train to either Maishofen or Zell am See, with one or possibly two changes. Bus from Zell or Maishofen to Saalbach.

@ajc2260626, you can buy tickets online (oebb.at). Or just use the ticket machine on arrival.

As @queenie pretty please says, trains go via Salzburg. There is also a route via Worgl.

Just different stops in Saalbach. Try Saalbach Schattberg X-Press, which is pretty much the centre.

@ajc2260626, those are the individual bus stops for the post bus in the valley. Just choose "Saalbach" and you should be OK.

Innsbruck and Salzburg are alternative airports to consider.
