Poster: A snowHead

Can anyone recommend a shuttle service from Geneva Airport to Chamonix village they have experience with? There are many options advertised with Google searches and Chamonix tourism links...I'm trying to cut through the advert hype and get a nicely reliable, affordable shuttle someone has actually taken more than once or twice.
Thank You!

Isn't the train an option too? I'm seeing 3h10m-3h:40m depending on time and route on www.sbb.ch. This GVA»Martigny, Martigny»Vallorcine and Vallorcine»Chamonix. Not sure what it costs. But main advantage is no issues with flight delays for you, or hanging-'round for other people whose flights are delayed. Might be worth investigating.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

My wife uses mountain drop offs lots (6-10x per season) and never had a problem. However this year we’re switching to CVT on account of smaller vehicles so hopefully less driving around Chamonix back streets collecting random punters. CVT was recommended here and by a friend in the valley who uses them a lot.
The train looks tortuous and I’ve not known anyone use it more than once.

Scenic, I'd say. Yes, 3½ hours isn't going to be fun if you have a skibag, two cases and a rucksac and it's dark. But if you're arriving into GVA before, say, 12:00ish, then it might be enjoyable. Especially if you're travelling light. In which case it might be worth, as I said, considering.
My last experience of shared bus transfer at GVA wasn't good, as we waited almost 2 hours for the last person on the bus to arrive. Nothing to do with the transfer company, of course, but tedious, nevertheless.

We recommend Haute Transfers. CVT look smart. Alpybus brings and removes many of our guests.
