Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Solo skier looking for group - March

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
This forum has served me well in the past so giving it another go again this year... Very Happy

Male, 29, skier looking for a group to go skiing with in March. Will ski anything provided it is on piste. Have done UCPA the past couple years, which has been great but looking at changing it up a bit this time around. Maybe somewhere outside France? Though I am open to all suggestions.

Thanks,
Cal. Smile

Three of us are now looking at Chamonix for a week from 9 March. We could easily make it four and do two twins if anyone is interested?

We are all interested in off-piste and have all the gear (and sometimes no idea what we are doing!). I would describe us as adventurous but not totally stupid so we look for powder and get all giddy when we have a good day on the steep and deep but none of us are experts. I ski and my two friends both board. I am the youngest in my early 40s and the oldest is 52. Not really big on the late night scene but we like some apres and a good meal, it is all about the snow for us and we would sooner be up at 0700 for the first lift on a powder day than up at 0200 in a bar.

Geographically we are split up so will fly from Manchester and Gatwick. If there are any similar minded folk who want to join then let me know and I would be happy to chat about the trip. One more chap would be great but if more people are interested in meeting in Chamonix that would be good too. Always happy to meet others of a similar mind.

Late post as we need to book asap but thought I would give it a go!

Hi @LeonSkiBug, @Bigrobski,

Many Thanks for the replies.

I am now sorted. I perhaps should have waited it out a bit longer and see what would have came up. Got a little nervy though, particular with regards to flight availability. I will be in UCPA Flaine, week commencing 09/03. Decided on Flaine due to it being a resort I have yet to visit, though these are becoming few and far between now! Have heard mixed things so interested to see and judge for myself! I have yet to find a resort I have disliked. wink

@Cal, I did UCPA a few years ago when I was still 40+. Really enjoyed it, nice venue, food very good, big bar area and terrace. Ski instruction very good, Flaine not a pretty resort and town not very appealing but spent most time on slopes and at UCPA. The instructors will get you to all the best skiing around the whole area. Enjoy
