I have stayed in Zug three years running (lovely unspoilt place if you don't mind peace and quiet and a long challenging ski back) and the only ski hire shop is located at the luxurious Rote Wand Hotel. It is called Full Service and website is http://www.fullservice-zug.com
We have always used them and skis and service were great and reasonable value for the area.

+1 for Full Service, great little hire shop and top quality kit too.
The bar next door is nice enough too though the woman who runs it (I presume) always seems excessively miserable with me.
