Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

La Rosiere parking

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi all

Does anyone have experience of parking at La Rosiere for a week? I've not found much online other than paid parking and the need to remove cars at night for snow clearance, which isn't ideal.

The reason I ask is that we're are considering hiring a car rather than the provided coach transfer, as our wriggly one year old has just developed travel sickness - needless to say that 2-3 hours on a coach might not be much fun! Private transfers are megabucks.

Any thoughts welcome. Very Happy

Many thanks, and happy new year Snowheads!

Nick.

@wns198, It's not a great journey up the hill. If you can get a seat at the front and the child can see forward then it is much better for motion sickness.

FWIW they will probably get just as sick in the car!

Thanks Frosty, very useful - I suppose the advantage of a car is that our one year is also restrained, as she is quite feisty! We would have approached it slightly differently had we have known when we booked it! Laughing

We have been to la Rosiere and used the underground carpark in our residence. I would firstly check if the place you are staying has its own underground carpark. Definitely make sure that the car hire company will supply chains.

For future ski holidays I would recommend travelling by the direct Eurostar service to the alps...then you will be able to book a short private transfer from the station to the resort. Under 4s used to travel free on the ski train..have not checked if this is still the case.
