I'm confused now, @Valkyrie. I thought you were lifting the downhill ski (ie transitioning onto (what is about to become) the new outside ski at the top of the turn). Not that you have to be going in a straight line for that.

OK, that's fair enough. The only time I voluntarily talk about the uphill and downhill ski is when setting up a traverse drill, when, as you said, talking about inside and outside ski is non-sensical.

@pam w, you're right - I meant to say lifting the downhill ski! Even confused myself. So to clarify: the drill was to traverse only on the little toe edge.
