Ski buddy(s) 50+ needed 9th March Austria one week flying Manchstr -Munich. Great snow condtions this year 270km piste based in Soll /Skiwelt area .Low cost diy holiday ...flight xfer nice b&b guesthouse cost apprx £360 or £330 if 3 of us share the care hire.
I am a good intermediate easy going regular guy ,wife not skiing this year...all day ski then relax with 2 or 3 beers of an evening in traditional Tyrolean hostelries /old hotel beer cellars ..A half litre/one pint of beer in Soll is only E4.
Pretty village with low user friendly prices.

Have a look at the Easyjet Manchstr to Munich flights ..going 9th March 17.30...Return 16th March 21.20.
Last time I looked it was £89 return .

I will have a look at flight prices,
I live in County Durham so I will check Flights from Newcastle as well.
I have my own equipment which I hope will fit in the car.
Why do you hire a car, is it easier than messing about with transfers?

Male 57 year old.
Been snowboarding for a good few years but thinking of getting back to skiing.
I only skied for a few weeks before switching to a board though, but I think I'll pick it up again no problem.

I've been skiing for 25 yrs and the other guy is at expert level and although not racers our pace would I believe be too quick for you.
If you could find another 50 + snowhead at your ski level maybe we could have a 2 + 2 team . You + a n other also with a few weeks experience ski together and us two already booked go out together.
Towards the end of the week we could all try and see if we can cruise around for days 5 and 6 together on the slopes.
And evenings we can as four socialise fully , head into the village for a meal and a few beers .Live music is usually on in two venues ....check out Frog on the Tyne's facebook page ....I hope they are back this season , very talented duo.
Our guest house I found out today is now full but I know other nice ones around the village where we could or should be able to get two more in.
Sorry this may not be the ideal answer you were hoping for but too big a variation in ski ability / pace can lead to problems .
But stay linked to snowheads ...a 4th candidate may show ........the snow is still great so plenty of folks are keen to get to the white stuff
