Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Drone test

Earn your turns time after 10 days without snow so went for a hike out the back of Stairway and took the drone out for its test drive. Didn’t have the guts to stick it in activetrack mode... does it work?

@BobinCH, quite scary isn't it - did you do any practice before you went up there, and were you flying it with a remote, as if it's just you on your own you have the issue of skiing with the RC etc something I'm not too sure I'd try.

Snow looks good and if that was today you didn't have the wind we've had.

I was almost tempted to go and film the veteran car event racing on the ice track at the bottom of where we live, but too much wind me thinks.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@Weathercam, set it up in the garden but this was the first ski outing. Yes it has a remote which you plug the phone into to view the camera. From what I understand it should be possible to stick it in active track mode, tag yourself and it should follow you. Assume you can just stick the remote in your pocket? Not sure what happens if it loses you?

@BobinCH, do you have a OTG cable than connects phone to remote as well?

Even then I wouldn't trust sticking remote in pocket as too many buttons that could accidentally be hit!

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.
