Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ski school during xmas?

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
It looks like we're going to have to go skiing during xmas week next year (not my first choice). The previous times we've been at xmas kids' ski school has been very very crowded (it even put my eldest off skiing for a year, that was in the Zillertal)
I'm looking for ski schools that will keep groups small and will keep some standards (i.e. not use any 17 year old off the street) even during xmas. The choice of resort is flexible (as long as it's not Zermatt like expensive). Would like a smaller resort
Could Italy be less crowded? Smaller French resorts (although ESF hasn't been the best experience for me)?

@sugardaddy, do you have any particular resorts in mind?

The British ski schools have smaller classes (max 6/Cool and are generally restricted to using full cert instructors.

St Johann/Alpendorf in the Ski Amade. 45 Mins from Salzburg Airport. Rot Weiss Rot Ski School has British Instructors and small class sizes. Alternatively head to Flachau (other side of the piste map) and try the Hermann Maier Ski School. Same detail as the Red/White/Red. Have a look on my facebook page @Skiflachau for more info about the area. Should tick all the boxes for you.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

@MouseInLux, If you're coming to Ski Amade, make a decision soon as RWR and HM are already looking for extra peak week Instructors. Dutch and British plus half of Germany are all on holiday for Carnival.

We’re going to be in Zillertal. We’re here at the moment for Christmas but at a different part and I’m debating which school to take. I’m really happy with the one we’re using but it’s in a sucky ski area for the adults..we have 2 runs :/

@MouseInLux, I really don't remember the name, but the both of them (we were in Kaltenbach) seemed to struggle. Also, I tried booking private lessons with the both of the and they wouldn't do that as they had no instructors
@Gämsbock, not really, but thinking of smaller resorts. I seem to remember that things are less bad in Italy? (but then the snow record isn't very good)
