Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Looking at the route from the website it appears that the Tour will come in Via Morgins for a finish in Chatel on July 10th, then a rest day in Morzine, then the depart from Morzine on the 12th.
There's normally a great atmosphere when the Tour is in town, apart from the Floyd Landis day, when everyone was just horrified at the blatant cheating, and when Virenque won on Bastille day, a few eyebrows were raised,

And don't forget the lovely new road surfaces! Always a bonus for the recreational cyclists.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Hopefully it will be a little dryer when the race passes through in 2022 than it was in 2016!

Can’t wait and very excited for our region. Mankini is on oder!!
Rest day is probably the highlight as there should be lots of opportunities to see and meet the riders check out their bikes when they are out on the “training rides”.
Will probably head to steepest past of Pas de Morgins to view race on stage to Chatel as think this will be best place to get a good look (and maybe drink Boxer beer). Would like to visit Lausannne for the previous day’s finish as should be exciting uphill finish. Will probably get a train from Aigle and leave bike behind in order to get a good position at the barriers.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

We’re out for a long weekend. MTB pootle over to PlJ for the finish via Lindarets, road bike pro-stalking on the rest day and touristy bike-free wandering round Morzine on the Tuesday at the start.
Slightly disappointed in the route on the Tuesday as it would have been good to see them on something lumpier than the main road down to Thonon!
