If you're thinking of spending New Year in these resorts, think again! The junior bit of my daughter's school will be there, so unless you want to share the place with a load of giggling, smartarse 12/13/14 yo girlies, stay away.
They're billed to stay in Plainey, of which I've never heard. It looks fairly low, but the access to both skiing areas appears good. Anyone have any comments on it or the area in general (we've never skied there)?
It's costing £960, which looks pretty steep to me, although it is all in except spends (transfers, flights, accom, 3 meals a day, kit hire, pass, lessons, evening jollities, insurance), so maybe it's not too bad.
The son may well be able to go on a ski trip as well (I'd think about avoiding Tignes immediately before Xmas if I were you, subject to confirmation), which I think entitles the old lady and me to a week's skiing on our own, or maybe a couple of weekends, so any price is worth paying, really.
