Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Iglu booking - issue with ski carriage

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has had any issues with booking ski carriage through Iglu before? Back in Nov we booked a trip to Meribel departing on 12 Jan and paid for ski carriage, only for a few days later to be told that actually Ski World (who Iglu were selling the hol on behalf of) had no ski carriage left and we'd have to book direct with Jet 2, and apparently could do this 4 weeks before departure.

Fast forward and we are now 4 weeks before departure, but Iglu keep telling us it will be another few weeks before they will give us the Jet 2 reference to be able to book ski carriage. We are getting a bit worried that by the time it comes around there may not be any ski carriage space left, and given that one of our group has just bought new skis we're all pretty annoyed.

First time in years booking a package, figured it might be less stressful but boy were we wrong!

Try contacting jet 2 directly perhaps?

Going by your 1st paragraph, that's the advice you were given, but it doesn't look like you've actually tried that.

Never had it quite like that but it seems TO allocation of Ski carriage is getting smaller. Last year we ended up flying from a less convenient airport because there was no TO ski carriage left, even though if i booked directly with the airline i could add ski carriage.

I'd be fairly annoyed if i'd booked it and then told later there's non left. Presumably when they can book with Jet2 iglu are going to pick up the cost difference as it will be more than Ski World price?

The same thing has happened to us this year, on a Nielson holiday to Saalbach January 5th. from manchester (Jet2).
I think only 2 of the 7 passengers got ski carriage on our Jet2 flight. The guy who booked it was having a nightmare with Jet2 and Nielson.
I for one am hiring in resort.
