Esprit have cheap accom only deals for week beginning 30th Dec. La Rosiere, Meribel or Belle Plagne. Which of these would be least crowded on the slopes that week? Myself and husband are intermediate skier and boarder with a 5 year old. Want Esprit for the wrap-around childcare. We are tied to flights to Lyon from Dublin.

I'd guess at La Rosiere of those three. Don't know if the logic stands scrutiny but La Rosiere generally comes further down the list of destinations when people approach the Tarentaise valley ski areas.
Meribel seems to have a more "embedded" clientele over the season and appears to be higher occupancy throughout a ski term.
La Plagne overall has a huge capacity, whether that is fully utilised for the period seems more likely as it's also reasonable for weekend visitors.
Terrain ok in all of them, weather is going to be luck of the draw really.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@oldschool72, yes I’d say La Rosiere would be a little quieter than the other two.
Also, you should get more enjoyment and value in future, as your skiing develops, from the more extensive 3V and Paradiski areas.
It'll mean they've sold all the flight seats, presumably.

Did Belle Plagne last year and the problem was that you basically have to go via Bellecote in the morning, which was rammed. Once you're beyond that the slopes and lift queues are pretty reasonable, but was easy to lose 40 minutes in the initial queues. I would caveat that by pointing out that the weather was a bit varied, so on two of the days the lifts weren't really running before 10am so the queues stacked up...and then limited pistes open so everyone was funneling back to the same lifts...but the wait was worth it
