Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi
Can anyone recommend a good English speaking ski school in Avoriaz and Morzine for a nervous 8 year old.
This will be his second week and last time he learnt under the influence of flu so it was pretty tough for him.
Ideally it would be private lessons and I’ve talked to Bass and they have availability at £99 an hour(which I think is high but having not skiied the area before I can’t relate).
Travel time is mid Jan so not peak.
Thanks

We went to Avoriaz with my kids last year (aged 6 and 10), and it was their first time. They learnt with Evolution 2, and I can't recommend them enough. They spoke perfect English, and built a great bond with the kids. Kids thoroughly enjoyed the lessons - and saw them more as fun rather than 'school' in anyway.
We went with group lessons so they also made lots of friends. Whoever you go with, just talk to them about your requirements and previous experience and I'm sure they will be very accommodating.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I recommended these on another thread, too. They've been fantastic with my kids, over the last few years.
