 Poster: A snowHead

Hi guys & gals
I'm looking for some half decent gloves. Looked at the Hestra's in the shop which i liked, just not the £120 price tag.
Any recommendations or used gloves for sale? Size 9 - M/L
thanks

@knw101, Used to use hestra, but now use Vaude Aletsch Sympatex Gloves, seem as good as hestra heli, but half the price if you shop wisely. Run a little bit bigger than hestra.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Have a pair of Level Hero gloves, they're not bulky but offer good insulation and function, can get them about £40. Supposed to be good to -8c and i found that to be true.

Snow & Rock didn't have any Hestras in my size last season so I picked up some Spyders. Very nice, and warmer than the North Face ones I had previously. Plain black though, which was a little boring.

I've tried many gloves/mitts over the years. Nothing beats Hestras.
My 'Claw' mitts are now on over 150 days and are still perfect. You won't regret buying them.
My only tip is that any true leatehr glove/mitt benefits from a bit of 'leather food' every now and then. The sort of stuff you treat car seats or leather boots with works well.

If anyone is interested, I have a brand new pair of Hestra Vertical Cut Freeride gloves, black leather, size 9 (Medium / Large), part of their Alpine Pro range. I bought them in error, so they've never been worn. They are a great pair of gloves, warm, sturdy, often worn by ski instructors. I've got three pairs and just love them. It's a short glove, with a tight neoprene cuff around the wrist, design to be worn underneath your jacket sleeve, much neater and less likely to collect moisture in the glove from sleet or rain running down your sleeve if you're out in weather wearing over the top gloves.
They retail for about £130. I'm selling for half price, so £65 which will include postage to the UK.

Hi @rob@rar, if by some chance these haven’t sold in the near future I’d defo be interested.
I will pop along to our local Hestra dealer (won’t be until next week at the earliest) and double check the size and will pick them up in Spain? I’ll drop you a pm once I’ve confirmed sizing.
Nick
