Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hoji pro tour binding compatibility

 Poster: A snowHead

Hello

Anyone know if the Dynafit tlt vertical ST is compatible with this boot?

Also a tad confused....conflicting advice if the Fritshi Tecton is or not? Most reviews say not but the Black Diamond website says yes.

Cheers

The Hoji boot is compatible with all of the Dynafit brand binding models except for the Beast.

The Hoji boot is compatible with the Fritschi Tecton 12/Evo from a safety point of view but I wouldn't recommend it as the Speednose profile of the boot combined with the rearward location of the tech inserts means that when in tour mode the boot toe contacts the toe binding 'bumper' quite a bit sooner than a regular tech touring boot meaning that the stride can be impeded as well as causing difficulty when performing uphill kick turns as the boots range of movement is restricted - this is particularly noticeable when using the high climbing bar.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Cheers for the quick response

Strange to make a boot that will attract those that are downhill focused and not make it compatible with the Kingpin, Tecton or shift

Not strange at all. The Hoji boot is a targetted to the distance touring market which is not the Kingpin/Shift market and the Tecton is a competitor binding which Dynafit don't care about.
