Snow Reports

Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Thing is when I'm out on my bike cycling up the same Cols that the likes of the athletes in the video above are training on; they always seem to go at the same speed as me after I catch them up, then I find that I'm stuck "behind" them
Anyway, I actually thought the whole point to roller skiing was more for Cross Country skiing rather than ski touring ?
Though I'm sure it's a good workout but think running on trails is just as good and far more accessible, for as you know there are limited areas as to where you can roller ski, and on a more practical basis without involving 3rd parties etc
We used to have a couple of guys from British winter biathlon team training along the seafront in front of our house on them along the promenade as that was the only piece of flat smooth tarmac.
I've always liked the idea of them but. I suspect for most they are not viable, if that's the right word.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

The euro skimo guys use them extensively, they don't arrive at the start of the season doing big days or competitions having spent the autumn on the beach.
