I'm going to Gulmarg at the end of Feb and have been let down by two of our party. I've now got to find two replacements to join my son 25 and me 58 to go to India. We are both competent off piste skiers who don't mind a bit of skinning to get some fresh tracks. If this is of any interest please let me know and I'll give you the details.

That's the height where old or wheezy folk start getting sick and dead, due to thin air, so it needs to be prepared for.

Fly from LHR on the 23rd feb returning back to the UK on the 3rd or 4th march depending upon which flight we get. Flight prices vary but we're looking at between £600 to £800 pp.

@TimGiles, if you have time I’d recommend adding a night in a house boat on Dal Lake at the end. Really cool (peaceful!) experience, gives you the chance to explore Srinagar (find a friendly tuktuk driver), and cuts down travel uncertainty getting to the airport on time if weather/traffic is funky coming down from Gulmarg.
