Poster: A snowHead
|
Yes folks, you read correctly! I'm looking at planning a trip to somewhere far flung. I've narrowed it down to either Japan or Canada.
Canada - is Whistler still a good place to go? It's been 16 years since i was last there, but have heard it's gone a bit mainstream and VERY expensive? Any thoughts on this or any suggestions for alternative resorts?
Japan - not too sure which resorts (yet), relatively short transfer could be a bonus as would be a classic powder resort (i.e. not full of Brits, Americans etc).
Hit me up folks with some ideas, opinions, experiences..... !!

With a name like @ninja_dave, then it's either Japan or Birmingham and the snow forecast for Birmingham is rubbish.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Depends what you want.
Japan has great powder but to some it’s lacking in terrain.
Look at Little Cottonwood Canyon in Utah. 12.5m of powder snow per season and great terrain.
