They are opening tomorrow, but staff passes have been pulled for the weekend as there is very very limited snow.
Looking better for next week.
Not to mention the delay in getting the new Blackcomb Gondola operational - set for Dec12th
They did manage the other 2 upgrades though. Catskinner triple to Quad and Emerald Quad to a 6pack (not before time)

These are the best webcams. The interior is looking good; Sun Peaks opened a few days ago and looked excellent. There's plenty of time.

@Jake43, what a difference a month makes !!!! new gondola running and a top up up of over 3.5 m of snow
new cat skinner chair is awesome , the new green chair is good too but not if you like to rest your board on a foot bar !!

Looking forward to smaller queues but think they should have put a short chair in specifically for the park and the proposed yellow chair instead of a 6 at Emerald. What ever, it is fantastic to see them finally put some money in to the general lifts as they are very busy even when we try and come over only on quiet weeks.
When they get the gondola all the way from Creekside up to top that will also release Red Chair much more. So fingers crossed they keep investing.

I am there in February, third year in a row.
I have a trip to Tignes in a week so focused on that but I certainly am checking the weather and cams daily.
What a difference the new Blackcomb Gondola will make, last year I spent 4 of the 6 days on Blackcomb for me it's far better.
It definitely is a hybrid place - kind of right in the middle of Alta and Snowbird and Val d'Isere/ Verbier for me.

Fingers crossed they don't if they replace the red chair with a gondola (like solar coaster). Why would they anyhow?

Arrrrg no it has to be in addition. They could not be so daft could they. Maybe they will have learned from the Solar Coaster mistake. Pretty sure the WB plan was in addition.

@Jake43, see what you mean , also would be cool to have a direct route to top for the summer with all the great bike trails now on creekside .
on a side note the best chair last week was the old slow Franz's , never a queue and some of the best snow to be found in the trees above Franz meadows
