Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Childcare recommendations in La Plagne

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi all,

We have two boys we are hoping to indoctrinate into skiing this winter, one is 3 and the other is 5. We have settled on La Plagne this year staying in Plagne centre. Does anyone have experience with nannies in La Plagne they could share with us? T4 aren't responding to emails or answering the phone. We are hoping to book someone for 6 half days in early Jan.

Also for the 5 year old, we are hoping to book lessons for him, has anyone had their kids go through Oxygene Ski school in La Plagne Centre? We think the three year old is a bit young this year for lessons but not sure.

Thanks!
S.

@Sideshowbob, have you booked accommodation? VIP Ski provide nanies but the whole package isn’t cheap. But they do have some great apartments in the centre.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

We have used Oxygene and they were excellent for our kids. Think they were 6 and 4 at the time.

@Bennyboy1, we have booked accommodation as we find organising ourselves is much cheaper, but it does make finding good childcare much more difficult!!
Thanks for the recommendation for oxygene.

My daughter used Oxygen (Val d'Isere) when she was 3 1/2 and loved it. A week of 1/2 days should be fine for most 3 year olds, especially if they're already used to nursery. Maybe even full days for your 5 year old meaning with a little team work you might not need a nanny at all.

Have you tried snowlittle? We recommend them at work and guests usually have great feedback

The ESF nursery up in Aime 2000 was great for our boy. We also found the main nursery in Centre to be brilliant but that was when he a bit younger than you're looking for.
