lots of computer stuff come in that foam stuff.
Ask at a computer store. Its usually a top sheet to protect motherboards or videocards, etc.
Funnily enough, I kept 2 sheets for just a thing & threw them out yesterday /
Only kept them because I get heal lift & was going to DIY a solution if my cantered wedges didnt work
another option is to go look at wood/laminate wood flooring underlay. Some of them are of foam quality.
You might get away with asking for a sample 'o)

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@Mr.Egg, I don’t <think> the packaging stuff is as dense. Making it pretty useless for purpose requested.
I could be wrong.

I'm just about to order a new graphics card so I will have a look at its packaging, from what I remember with graphics card packaging some of it is a lot denser than others
Thanks for that website I'll send them a message

In fairness, and in my experience, and admitting it’s maybe not an option, but if you’re having to pack a liner out, it’s too big. Better starting small and making bigger to fit... as I say, maybe not an economically attractive option.

Grizzler - Nice one, I'd totally forgotten about ebay
I've been in several shops and tried on virtually every boot, none fit very well so I'm making the boots that I do have fit me

Yeah I know that, but 12€ postage for something that costs 4€ is pretty excessive, especially as its something I must be able to find locally

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

well FWIW the tognar foam works well (it's quite dense and stiff) but I've achieved a similar level of adjustment with duck tape and some chopped up bits of milk bottle on the liners of my snowboard boots to make J bars to stop heel lift.
Just a bit easier with the tognar stuff.

Bought stuff from here for making custom armrest pads on the TT bike, no idea if it's suitable for bootfitting though.
