Poster: A snowHead

Tecnica i-rebound. I have a pair of Tecnica Ten 2 HV boots I got early this year that have this i-rebound function on the rear. The rather feeble instruction booklet doesn't say and all I've been able to find about it online is that it links the cuff with the boot via metal strips. Nowhere have I seen how you should set it. Comes with an Allen key for adjusting.
I'm assuming turning clockwise makes the boot stiffer or stops the i-rebound 'bounce' effect somehow and turning anti-clockwise does the opposite.
Can anyone confirm that. Should they be set in a neutral position? As a heavier athlete I've gone full clockwise then 2 clicks back but I dont know how it should be set, just guessing.
While I'm here the other adjustment on the outside ankle area can be set at 1, 2, or 3, I've set them as 2 thinking that is a neutral position. Is this adjustment for forward lean or side to side angle or cant? What does adjusting this to 1 or 3 do?
Thanks.

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Try asking the retailer/bootfitter that supplied/fitted them.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@Klammertime, just looking at it and not at all contradicting Jon’s advice to comtat the dealer, I think it’s just a link. No adjustment,
“Canting” often is purely cosmetic as it isn’t actually canting so leave them alone.

My Technica Mach 1 boots have a "Rebound" adjustment on the back too. Two positions - "Sport" and "Performance". No indication in the leaflet that came with the boots as to what the adjustment does. I guess it's effectively a stiffness adjustment and I prefer mine set to "Sport" but I'd much prefer it if they used words that actually described what the adjustment changes, like "Harder" and "Softer".

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Update, tecnica responded to my query about i-rebound -
"If you turn the screw left or right does not change anything to the flex of the boot. You can screw it completely out and than the boot will have a more forgiving attitude (softer in flex)".
Just seems like a gimmick then. A plain rivet would do the job instead.
