Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Salomon scrambler hot pilot

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Could anyone tell me what these skis are like on the piste. I've never used freeride skis before but want to start venturing into the deep stuff. Would they be any good for aggressive on piste skiing. Short turns/long turns?

The other option is salomon crossmx v12, but i'm not sure about the colour. I want to use them for about 3 seasons and want them to look decent. What do you think?

Thanks.

I tried the bandit b2, head monster 72 and the scrambler hot and bought the scrambler hot. The scrambler are good fun for carving longer turns, quick edge to edge, easy to turn, reasonably stable, fine in the moguls and give confidence going off piste. The head monster seemed stiffer with more grip and therefore skied more agressively. My friend has the v12 and this seems a more agresseive ski on piste and still works off-piste. I would definately test before buying as every ski I've tried is a compromise between different qualities and therefore within a range it comes down to your standard, personal preferences and conditions on the day.

The colour is a very important aspect of your choice of ski.

I understand this is part of how the Atomic/Salomon tie-up's going to work, Atomic will provide the skis and Salomon will provide the colour and naming schemes Very Happy

This is really interesting stuff. Do you have any more detail on how it will be implemented? Very Happy

Yes, they going to cross a pocket rocket with a metron, making a ski that actually is a normal weight, it'll be blue and called the "off piste hero powder freshies dude stick", 99% of the production has been earmarked for snow and rock Very Happy

Cool, a real must have for the quiver. I think I'm going to call s&r to see if I can pre-order a pair. I believe that it's really important to have the latest gear, so that I can ski better Very Happy
