Problem getting ski boots on? Not exactly an 'equipment review' but it works a treat for me.
At your local disability shop they have sock/stocking aids. The one I got resembles a large flexible silicone plastic type shoe horn - placed in boot it wraps around back and slightly to each side. Arrange in boot, push in foot , pull cords to remove and hey presto! Cost just over £4

No, surely you'd use a 'bag for life'!
The one I've got is from Able2. Yes, just checked, they are online. Product PR55319 - Sock Aid £4.49.
Does it help you get them off? - now that's one I haven't tried. Usually never bothered me quite so much in that direction! Yes, just tried with my Salomon boots. Because the plastic is fairly rigid if you're careful you can slide it back down into the boot, taking it slow of course as you get to the indent at the top of your heel.

If you get your hip resurfaced the NHS will give you one for free - a sock aid that is, but it does come in a bag. What’s not to like?

F@Sack the Juggler, Not bad. I’d argue the Slippin is superior if for no other reason that it’s a fraction of the size and weight.

I just tried this. Works fine, but I end up with my foot and carrier bag in my boot. To get the bag out I have to take my foot out. It is a Sainsburys bag though - is that where I've gone wrong?
