Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

@kevin mcclean, What plate is on the skis?

IIRC the Clement Noel signature model of the Master SL only comes with the factory mounted Look R22 rep-drilled plate so the only bindings that'll fit, and which are actually designed for that plate, are the Look SPX 12/15/18 Rockerace bindings and their predecessor the Look SPX Rockerflex.

The non CN version could be purchased with either the R22 plate (to fit the above bindings) or the Look Konect rail which only accepts the Look SPX 12/14 Konect bindings.

Spyderjon, thank you. What you suggest correlates precisely with the Dynastar UK rep-cheers.

Thank you everyone else

A binding question but not related to the OP’s query. I have recently bought, and used for one week, new boots and hired skis in resort. However, I have my own skis, Salomon Q98’s with STH 12 bindings, bought in 2015 which I did not take on this holiday. On returning from my holiday I tried the new boots in the STH 12 bindings and they seemed to click in quite nicely, even though the new boots have grip walk. Question is, is the boot/binding combination compatible as the STH’s claim an adjustable toe piece for this model? Thanks.

@Erewegoagain, if you have the STH2 version bindings with either the WTR AFD or the MNC AFD then the toe bindings will work with GW soles, when suitably adjusted of course.

If you have the earlier STH bindings ( ie not the '2' version) then even though they have a height adjustable toe they are not compatible with GW soles. The height adjustment on this binding is only for adjusting for wear on alpine soled boots. Even though your boot will click in the binding the GW part of the boot sole will drag on the front of the AFD housing and greatly hinder the lateral release.

@spyderjon, Thanks for the response, you have confirmed my thoughts. Looks like new bindings and/or skis are now required Laughing
