Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Skis for son views please ?

Hi have 3 sets of skis with adjustable bindings all at 176/177 length. Head magnum salomon drive 8.0 ti and atomic nomad crimson.

Son has skied about 3.5 weeks so early intermediate. He’s now 6 foot, strong and fit but much lighter than me. He has a 30inch waist. Do you think he could sensibly use any of the above or should we just go for hire skis. Obviously din setting would need to be reduced significantly reflecting his weight and relative skill.

probably the Atomic or Nomads would work best. The Crimson is a particularly versatile ski, spans intermediate to late advanced with ease. Additionally both the Salomon and the Atomic will give a wider waist = more fun Smile The magnum may be one step too far. They are probably longer than he is used to, get half day private tuition to help the adjustment and technique.

hi I'm 100 kg. I would guess he is 60/65kg tops. It may be that I use these skis for him when he is another year older.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

You'll need to carefully adjust the position of the toe and heel pieces on the binding. Instructions should be with the paperwork you received when you got the skis. Although its not difficult to do anyway, just employ common sense.

Then crank down the Din settings on heels and toes.

If you are able to take 2 or 3 pairs he could just try them out.

I don't see an issue with the length perhaps just his ability to drive them (I don't know the skis) but that would be the same for anyone.
