Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Luggage transfer from France to UK - any tips?

My son has been working in La Plagne and has to get all of his gear back to Edinburgh, comprising a large wheeled bag, small rucksack and three pairs of skis. The company that he's working for will take him and his luggage (all of it) on a coach to London, but he's understandably apprehensive that he could end up with an unsustainably large amount of stuff to lug across London, perhaps at some ungodly hour, then get it onto a train or plane up to Edinburgh. I've suggested that he could use a luggage transfer company to shift some of it straight back to Edinburgh and would appreciate any advice from those who have done this in the past.

We have used Andy Hillman to bring stuff out to us from the UK and I know he does take ski kit, bags etc back to UK. You could ask him about taking to Edinburgh. And should have added Andy is in the link referred to above.

if time permits why not drive out ski a few days then drive home with him & gear, good catch up time.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

It’s only a few stops on the Victoria Line from Victoria (assume coach will go to the coach station) to Kings X. Totally doable so long as it’s not rush hour. Or a black cab would take that kit and cost £20-25
