Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Can liner be reheated after 2 years?

One of the downsides of losing 25kgs of weight is that my feet have slimmed too.

Boots are 2 year old Salomon Xmax 130 with heat mouldable shells and stock heat mouldable liners.

Bloke in French ski shop said "non" the liners are too old and have been skied too much ( about 15 weeks).

Whatcha reckon?

People with more knowledge than me will be along I'm sure

But..

if your feet are smaller, I don't believe re-moulding will help i.e. moulding can make boot bigger, not smaller

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@ChrisKernow, you probably need new liners

@albob, I reckon that's the case with the shell. The main shell problem is my inner ankle bones are now a lot more sticky out, if you know what I mean. Localised heat and punch to sort methinks.

But my understanding of the liner material is that a reheat expands it again, and then when you are strapped in it compresses to fit the foot.

As you say, them what knows such voodoo will hopefully be along shortly

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Yep you can rebake and the liner might regain a bit of "fluff" but it will only be temprary as the liner will have had enough heat from wear that it will pretty soin revert to packed out.
